The best thing u can do is call the mortgage company who u pay ur home to. Most of them have help programs that allow u to get back on track by beginning to make house payments that r slightly higher than ur usual monthly payment. If u have major changes in ur life however, & know that u just can not afford it.... then just let it go. Otherwise, learn to manage ur money better. Regardless, of what other financial responsibilities u may have ur home should come first. Especially if u have a family that would become ''homeless'' if ur home were to be foreclosed. Call ur mortgage company now & do not become a foreclosure statistic! Best wishes to you.

people need to wake up its time to start getting right mentally physically and spiritually and let the government do what they do after 9/11 the government let the amercian people know that they are indispensable you should not be worrying about foreclosure you should be worrying about GOD and what he thinks food for thought

A lot depends on how far behind u are. If u r facing financial trouble, talk to the lender & see if they can help by re-writing the note with a lower interest rate, wave late fees or anything else they can offer. Talk to Fanny Mae, FHA, HUD or any other housing or government backed mortgage program to see if u can get some help. These r some tough times & I wish u luck. I had one of those adjustable rate mortgages & the rate was jumping to 12.5%, but fortunately I was able to refi at a low fixed APR. My payment went from near $900.00 down to less than $700 & the term of the loan went from 28 years left with the ARM that was going to peak at 15% to 15 years on the new loan. Bottom line, I save $200 a month & payoff my house twice as fast.

You can try to get a forbearance from the bank on ur mortgage payments. There r also places that r free or charge little fees that will sit down & help u figure out ur payments or get ur finances in order.

President Bush has not put out any plans to help with the mortgage crisis (not surprisingly). But there r some rebate checks that will arrive in the mail sometime in May that could help u with some finances.. (Depending on u much u make a year. I think it averages to $500 per person plus $1,000 for every child u have)

FIrst spell government right and then work to pay your mortgage, duh.

To avoid foreclosure.pay your bills. Simple as that. Why should Bush or any government official help out those who got in over their heads. How does that help those who still pay on time, like myself. Stop asking for handouts and make your own way in life!!!!
