How do I find the information on a home going in to foreclosure, if every site makes you pay

Many counties have this information available online. If not u may have to visit the county tax assessor is office & the county courthouse. Step 1. Determine who owns the home. If u can find the tax assessors or tax commissioners web site for ur county, search on the property address to find the owner is name. Step 2. Use the owner is name to search for the deed records in the real estate records section at the county courthouse. There u will find all of the deeds that r recorded showing mortgages & liens on the property. If u find a foreclosure deed that has been recorded, that means the home has already gone through foreclosure & is now owned by the mortgage company or a third party investor who may have purchased the home at the foreclosure sale. If u do not find a foreclosure deed that could mean that the foreclosure sale has yet to take place or that the foreclosure has taken place & the deed has not been recorded yet. Many times mortgage companies use property servicing companies to inspect, winterize & secure homes many month is prior to the actual foreclosure sale. Usually these companies put a sticker on the front door saying the property has been secured or winterized. The best way to stay on top of the process is to read the legal ads in ur county news paper each month. All foreclosure sales have to be advertised by the lender in the county legal organ prior to the foreclosure sale. Another possibility is that the mortgage on the home was a FHA mortgage. After the foreclosure sale, most FHA mortgages result in the FHA owning the property. You can find a list of these homes or addtional information at FHA.Gov. If the home has already gone through foreclosure & is now owned by a traditional mortgage company, u may just have to wait until the mortage servicer assigns the home to a real estate broker. Once that happens, u will see a for sale sign in the yard & can get a contact name & number. The volume of homes in foreclosure is very high & it is not uncommon for homes to sit empty for many months before actually going to foreclosure or even after foreclosure being assigned to a real estate broker. Most of the website that charge for information r simply compiling information from the county records office & the legel ads in the news paper.

How do I find the information on a home going in to foreclosure, if every site makes you pay

I am a mortgage banker of 15 years in Washington state. I get the info. from the local title companies for 10.00 a month and or you can get it directly from the county auditors office. The lenders that are foreclosing must file a notice of trustee sale at the county auditors office for any states that allow a non judicial foreclosure. Now keep in mind that this will be pre-foreclosures that are 90-120 days away from the sale date.

Good luck.
